Long since annexed by Crystal Springs, Old Dotsero is a neighborhood that strives to maintain the feel of an old west railroad junction, albeit cleaner. Despite the modern look of the local Amtrax station, most of the businesses on the main strip maintain an early twentieth-century architecture. The neighborhood itself borders Dotsero Lake and includes several parks and scenic areas along I-70. I-870 (also the Colorado River Highway) continues to the north. Gypsum lies to the east.
